Douglas M. Lieberman is a 1986 graduate of the Hofstra University School of Law, where he was an Articles Editor of the Hofstra Labor Law Journal. In 2020 Mr. Lieberman was named a New York Metro Area Super Lawyer in the area of business litigation for the eighth consecutive year. A former member of the Board of Directors of the Nassau County Bar Association, he is also a former Editor-in-Chief and currently an Associate Editor of Nassau Lawyer, the Association’s monthly legal publication. Mr. Lieberman has authored a number of scholarly articles published in Nassau Lawyer; a Note published in the Hofstra Labor Law Journal; and revised a chapter entitled “The Mechanics of Beginning” in the treatise Art of Advocacy – Preparation of the Case. Decisions in matters handled by Mr. Lieberman have been reported and noted. Mr. Lieberman is admitted to practice before the State Courts of New York and New Jersey, as well as the United States Federal Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, the District of New Jersey and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. James C. Markotsis is a 1986 graduate of the Hofstra University School of Law. He received his undergraduate degree from SUNY Albany in 1983. Mr. Markotsis is admitted to practice before the State Courts of New York and Connecticut, as well as the United States Federal Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association. Mr. Markotsis has lectured at the Nassau Bar Association and has authored many articles published in the Nassau Lawyer concerning real estate transactions. He is a frequent volunteer attorney in Landlord/Tenant Court in Nassau County. Mr. Markotsis focuses most of his attention to real estate transactions, business transactions, Wills, Trusts and Estates, and Landlord/Tenant issues. He has served over 25 years on the Board of his church and is active in other local organizations. George Neofitos is a 1996 graduate of Brooklyn Law School. He received his undergraduate degree in 1992 from Hofstra University. Mr. Neofitos handles litigation and transactional matters related to commercial entities, as well as day-to-day counseling with the owners, officers and directors of commercial entities; the administration of estates and trusts along with litigating disputes that involve estates and trusts; and residential and commercial real estate matters. Vassilios F. Proussalis (“Bill”) is a 2001 graduate of Brooklyn Law School. He received his undergraduate degree from New York University in 1998. Mr. Proussalis is admitted to practice before the State Courts of New York and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Mr. Proussalis handles litigation and landlord/tenant matters, real estate transactions, and wills, trusts and estates. He is a member of the New York State and Nassau County Bar Associations. Mr. Proussalis is fluent in Greek and is an active steward at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Hicksville, where he recently completed his second term as Parish Council President.
